Diversity Advancement Project
The Diversity Advancement Project seeks to broaden public understanding of and support for the importance of racial and ethnic diversity in our public and private institutions. This includes development of methods to persuade the public to support affirmative action policies and programs by the creation of tools to assist the field in effectively opening up a productive dialogue on racial equity with skeptical, but convincible constituency groups. Over the next two years, the Kirwan Institute, along with the Center for Social Inclusion, intends to further develop research and tools to connect up multiple layers of work, which includes filling in some of the gaps identified during the first project period.
