Minority Business Development in the Cleveland Region

A strong minority business sector can counteract the trends of economic disinvestment in communities of color. Minority business development can also produce wealth and open access to employment opportunities for communities of color, remedying the impacts of regional inequity. The Cleveland region contains a strong and vital minority business community. With support of the Cleveland Foundation, The Kirwan Institute recently collaborated with the National Economic Development Law Center to research and produce recommendations to expand the minority business community in the Cleveland region. The findings from this study can be accessed below.
